Departure

Please leave $125.00 check made out to cash in top drawer to the left of kitchen sink to have the unit cleaned. You can also leave cash if you need to.
Leave a note on any un-used beds (including bunks) to indicate that the sheets are clean. 

Additionally:
-retract patio umbrella(it is kept under master bed in off season) Never leave it open when you leave the condo even to go off for a couple of hours.  Winds can pick up quickly.
-remove chaise lounge and chair cushions and put back on bunks
-unplug countertop appliances
-remove perishable items from the refrigerator
-bring any trash to the trash chute (past elevators, take a right)
-close all drapes
-lock doors
-lights out
-set A/C to 75 degrees
-please shake sand off of towels before putting in washing machine
-if you have children with beach toys-please hose the sand off of them as well

Directions

From I-10 East or West, take the exit for I-110 South. Follow this interstate to the end and continue toward signs that say Gregory Street/Chase Street/Beaches.

Stay straight off of exit ramp. Stay left. Turn left at the water and follow curve around to the bridge. Cross the bay. Be cautious of the speed trap (35 mph zone) coming off the bridge into Gulf Breeze. Stay right through Gulf Breeze and turn right at the big fish sign pointing toward Pensacola Beach. Cross toll bridge ($1) into Pensacola. Stay straight for a few miles. You'll see the 5 Towers of Portofino on your left.

Arrival Procedures

Register with Front Desk
The Front Desk is in the main building on the left once you pull into the resort. Proceed up the stairs to check in as a guest of the Renton's. Our unit is in Tower III, number 502.

Parking
Proceed through the gate and receive a parking pass for your stay. One car may be parked in the Tower III garage in spot number 225. There is a door right around the corner that will give you access to the elevators. If you walk past the elevators and take two short flights of stairs up which will bring you right to our door on the fifth floor. Additional vehicles may use the outdoor parking beneath pagodas near tennis courts.

Getting to the Unit
On level one, there is an unloading zone with luggage carts. Unpack and head to the elevators. Unit 502 is located on the terrace level, listed as "TR" in the elevator. Just think of "TR" standing for "The Rentons"! Please return luggage carts to the first floor. Code to door is 6356. Put in four digit code and turn lever to the left to open door.

Once Inside
Adjust the A/C to the temperature of your choice. Put cushions on chairs and chaise lounges (cushions are on bunks.) There are lights on the terrace. The switch is behind the drapes on wall in the den and master to control them.

Food
Please feel free to use condiments, spices etc. in refrigerator, pantry and cabinets.  Just leave a note if you finish using a bottle of something so I can replace it when I return for next visit. You should have plenty of paper towels and toilet paper above the washing machine and dryer. Please feel free to use soft drinks and beer so that they don't expire. Depending on how much water you drink it is always a good idea to bring a case. There is a B-B-Q grill and ice maker on terrace. Always leave main water on terrace turned on. That supplies the ice maker with water.

Feel free to water any of my plants that look like they need watering:)

After Arrival Procedures

Getting Cozy
Extra sheets, blankets, an aero bed, etc can be found in the linen closet in the master bedroom, underneath beds and bunks or in baskets above bunks. Non-decorative bath towels are beneath cabinets. Extras are in the laundry closet. Beach towels are in the basket next to living room TV.

Groceries
Publix is located in Gulf Breeze. After crossing the bridge off the island, stay left and Publix will be on the right. Everman's, an organic health foods store is located in downtown Pensacola.

Policies
Please do not smoke in the unit. There is no glass allowed on the beach or in pool areas. Please don't wear dripping bathing suits in the unit or in elevators. Please do not sit in furniture with wet suits.

TV/Internet
 The internet router is located in the kitchen. The network name is Portofino. There are DVD's in guest room closet.

Facilities
Portofino is a cashless resort. Charges may be made via credit/debit card or charged to your Portofino guest account. Please see turquoise book in the unit for information on activities onsite.

Restaurants
Our restaurant suggestions are in the turquoise binder in the unit. We have several menus in there. Peg Leg Pete's is a great option on the island, with a live band and sandy playground for kids. We also adore The Grand Marlin, right by the toll booths on your way off the island. Food is fantastic and there is a fun atmosphere. There is usually a bit of a wait but it is well worth it. Off the island, we recommend Jackson's on S. Palafox in downtown Pensacola for finer dining. We also like the Fish House, which is in downtown Pensacola on the water. Delicious!
